So to this person I say….hope I don’t see your horses in my rehab care down the road but I wouldn’t be surprised. Whether they want to brush them, be present with them or we hire some is the best professionals to learn whole dynamic of having a horse including teaching them partnership riding with horses. Does that make us less of a horse person? So I have created a space where ANYONE no matter the age can be around these amazing creatures. Not everyone is gifted with a childhood with horses. Part of why I started this program is to escape the mean girl syndrome in the horse world like this. But when I get hate mail I see it as a win because to me it shows that we are making a dent somewhere. It was insinuated that I was a liar about what we are doing here. This is also why we hire because she does know! And that our horses get the best care possible. First hate mail that was completely unrelated to trying to help starved local horses.įirst thing people hear from me here is “I choose not to ride, I don’t have a desire to” but that I love caring for and making sure my daughter has what she needs to learn.
